The Ethelbert B. Crawford Public Library is recording oral histories of those who lived and worked the resort industry in the Catskills popularly known as the Borscht Belt. This project is inspired by 'StoryCorps @ Your Library', a national program designed to help public libraries collect the stories of their communities and these oral histories will be shared with the Library of Congress. Thanks to the Library of Congress these stories will be forever held for future generations to come!

You can listen to the recordings here.
